Complain!
We are being asked to work as a member of a team alongside professionals, nurses, doctors and carers. PLEASE, if this is the case, ensure that professionals respect the information Carers offer.
When things go wrong we must learn how to complain. I am not always good at this. We need to record issues and ask staff to record them too.
I often feel there is a barrier between me and the professionals. They do not see me as a member of a team at all. It becomes very frustrating.
