What didn’t help was that, as this was seen to be a result of her mental health condition, she was told to pull herself together and get on with it. Easier said than done!
It was clear the hospital visits were having a negative effect on her health and Sheila asked me not to take her again, so from that point on and apart from the local GP, I kept caring for Sheila with no outside support whatsoever.
