Sometimes it gets seems even sadder

Having lived through the devastation that Alzheimers wreaks in the one you love for over 10 years, future pain should have been easier to manage? After all I had handled the challenge of her getting dangerously stuck half way up a staircase; reassured her when a spark of awareness caused great fright; or been personally heartbroken as her capacity to read or write disappeared. But heartache is never far away. It gives no warning. Tears fall,and cries of "why us"can be heard. Saddness remains
